Pressure Mattresses, also known as alternating pressure mattresses, are specialized mattresses designed to prevent or alleviate pressure ulcers (bedsores) in patients who are bedridden or have limited mobility. These mattresses use a pump system to alternate the pressure on different parts of the body, thereby reducing the risk of prolonged pressure on any one area.
