Therapeutic Modalities
Therapeutic Modalities is a broad group of tools and devices a physical therapist, a physician, or an individual would use to aid in healing and assist in muscle reeducation. These tools and devices help with musculoskeletal injuries to decrease pain and swelling, heal damaged tissues, strengthen atrophied muscles, and lessen muscle spasms by using electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat, ice compression, chemical, laser, and range of motion therapy.
